SuperUL series Osni gear is designed to give you reliable warmth, while saving weight and volume. These all use plastic snaps and are intended to be used exclusively with the SuperUL Poncho.
You can choose from a variety of cover fabrics. NOTE ON REVERSABILITY – Your Osni Liner outside fabric should be what you will nearly always use, the inside color should usually be a complimentary color, or may be black for heat absorbing or orange for visibility/signaling. We make no attempt to isolate colors to each side, the outside wraps to the inside on the front of the hood and the hems at the bottom, no inside color will show on the outside. Snaps are set up to match to a poncho based on being used with the outside fabric facing out. Snaps are double sided so you can still make everything work reasonably well. Made in USA.
The Osni ("cold weather" in Lakota language) Poncho Liner is multipurpose gear. It snaps into our Ponchos to be a liner, or as an Under Quilt for hammock use. Other uses: stand alone great coat, a sleeping bag - on long side, half bags, blanket, Woobie style, over quilt, hammock liner, Serape, and more. Insulated with APEX Climashield maintaining up to 1.25" loft for comfortable warmth. 3.6 oz is standard and best for most cases, 5 oz is bulkier and more for extreme conditions. Cover fabrics are ripstop nylon, or poly if noted, with water repellent (DWR). The Osni is also sort of REVERSABLE retaining all essential functionality, noting that the exterior color wraps to the inside on bottom edges and hood front. As with all our gear, choose your colors. Osni fully integrates into all our PSS Series Ponchos, the sizes are listed to match. MULTICAM NANOSPHERE is very highly water repellent yet breathable, limited availability. Osni SuperUL Poncho Liner is multipurpose gear, and this SuperUL version is by far the lightest Osni we’ve ever made. We use High-tech micro ripstop fabrics. Shell is 7 denier 6.6 premium nylon 0.75 oz SuperUL fabric (uncoated)for strength and durability. Inside is silky soft 0.54 oz membrane micro ripstop. Insulation is Climashield 2.5 oz. The Osni is breathable while being fairly windproof. Its double sided sturdy plastic snaps mate to our SuperUL ponchos for use as liner, underquilt or, blanket. Colors: Outside, Dark Olive; inside, Charcoal. Weight for PSSLE size is 22 oz. Warmth as a blanket is mid 30’s in open air. Can compact to a ball about 7” diameter. Made in USA. Osni SuperUL Blanket
Part of our SuperUL series of gear for those who are looking for quality and versatility in a lighter version. This pairs up nicely with our with our SuperUL Osni Liner and Poncho. The blanket has the same micro ripstop fabrics as the SuperUL Liner and 2.5 oz Climashield insulation. We’ve sized this down just a bit for better weight value. Plastic snaps down one side can attach to the SuperUL Liner or the SuperUL Poncho, and being double sided they are stackable to created thicker blankets as needed. I find a comfort range of 25 - 40 degrees on the low end depending on conditions and assuring my underside is warm. Weight is 14 oz. Dimensions: 50” x 84” Colors: Dark Olive outside, Charcoal inside.
