Our Scavenger Bag is intended for exactly what it says, scavenging, that is when you are hiking toward a campsite, just clip this bag to your pack or belt or use a light shoulder strap, then when you see that dead maple or birch tree with bark hanging half off, just grab it and and peel out the fine dry inner bark, shove it in the bag. When you get to camp you already have your tinder. It can also be used to collect whatever else you want, like berries, roots, arrowheads, leaves for study in plant ID. The bag is super tough material with 2 D rings at the top for clipping it to whatever you want.
Tip: In picking items like Chokecherries, I like to put a gallon bag inside the Scavenger Bag and when it is full I just replace it with a new gallon bag and keep on picking… Perry
