What is our PSS or Personal Survival Shelter?

  1. It is a three function personal shelter base unit, allowing you to adapt multi-function to a single piece of gear. This is essential when preparing for a possible survival type situation; these are;
  2. Tarp with 12 webbing tabs for lashing, no grommets
  3. Comes with 2-20 foot hanks of 550 parachute cord
  4. Makes a great ground cloth
  5. Seven primary methods of tarp setup, additional depending on your imagination
  6. Poncho with ample hood, snap adjustments and set up
  7. Snaps configure tarp into poncho
  8. Hood snaps closed over neck port for tarp use
  9. Hood is size adjustable, and includes paracord drawstring
  10. Fits over a pack, if needed
  11. Hammock configured from hollow sleeves on ends of tarp

  13. Easy entry and exit, with full wrap fit for sheltering

  • PSS fabric is 1.9 oz Mil. Spec. Ripstop Nylon ACU digital camo w/blackout coating, other colors and patterns available upon request. Cordura nylon carry bag for durability, with MOLLE and two D rings
  • 550 parachute cord – 2 twenty foot hanks
  • Exceptional array of Optional Accessory Items available now or soon, these are all integrated to the PSS, utilizing its snaps and tabs for connectivity as needed
  • Add our existing PST for a great tarp cover with ample room for getting into and out of the PSS hammock without getting into the rain. It allows use of the hammock as a chair for extended time bivying out bad weather
  • Use the new Cocoon Cover for a small form canopy that’s just enough to securely cover you, this cover was designed for those who plan to use the hammock for sleeping and desire a cover that is minimalistic, for lighter weight and size, yet still works in high winds
  • Add the Fleece Liner for extending the comfort range, this is sized to match the PSS when used as a Poncho or ground cloth, it also adds some comfort when used inside the hammock
  • Add the Foam Liner for nice three season comfort, this is like the fleece liner, but adds even more temperature range and adds significant moisture handling properties
  • Add the PSB with snaps for a full wrap around insulated cover, a step up from the foam liner. The PSB actually wraps around the outside of the hammock for zero compression, allowing more comfort with less insulation. Since the hammock takes your weight, it remains full thickness. It works independently as a blanket also
  • Add the Winter Cocoon Cover for hammock snow camping in cold temperatures. This, like the PSB, is designed to go over the outside of the hammock. The difference is that it is cut to match the hammock shape and is considerably thicker, allowing for hammock camping at below zero temperatures
  • Insect Netting can be used independently or inside PST or Bikini cover; has snaps and tabs for configuring to your needs and has a unique zipper-less seal.
